The image shows a landscape with a view from slightly above ground level. The horizon line is situated toward the upper center of the composition, separating the sky from the distant mountains. On the left side, there is a body of water that stretches towards the central part of the scene. Next to the water is a rugged rock formation surrounded by foliage. The right side of the image features ruins of a structure with rough, textured walls. Tiny figures can be seen near the ruins. The technique used includes fine lines and cross-hatching in a monochromatic palette of soft blacks and whites.
