The image depicts a tranquil body of water with hills meeting the sky at the horizon, as seen from a slightly elevated perspective. On the left of the horizon, there is a cluster of buildings or a castle. The brushstrokes are fine and meticulous, suggesting an etching technique. A tall tree with textured bark and sparse leaves is seen on the right. The color palette is monochromatic with shades of black and white. In the distance, a few small boats can be seen on the water.
