The sculpture is a circular bronze medallion with a profile relief of a man. The man has elaborate, wavy hair reaching past his collar. He faces to the left and wears a period garment with a pointed collar and additional shoulder detailing. The sculpture has a rich, reddish-brown patina. The medallion is inscribed with "EUSTACHE LE SUEUR" on the outer edge and "LE CLERC F." indicating the maker.
