The image is a diptych featuring a waterfront scene from an angled point of view, looking along a dilapidated pier on the left side of each panel, stretching into the distance on the right. The horizon is positioned relatively low, with industrial remnants and open water extending towards it. Both panels depict a partially destroyed structure, with the left panel showing the ruins while the right panel overlays an architectural outline with fine lines over where the structure once stood, suggesting a blueprint or skeletal frame in red and yellow hues. The color palette is largely monochromatic with black, white, and shades of gray dominating the scene, accentuated by the subtle colored outlines on the right panel, creating a stark contrast between decay and representation. The water close to us has a reflective quality, mirroring parts of the pier and structure. In the distance, industrial buildings and smokestacks are faintly visible under a hazy, overcast sky.
