The image shows a street scene from a direct, eye-level point of view. An asphalt road leads to a stone wall, beyond which are tombstones and trees in a light fog. The horizon is marked by the wall, with grave markers and tree trunks rising against it. A thin pole leans diagonally into the scene. The image is in black and white, with a grayscale palette highlighting the contrast between the trees' dark shadows and the misty background.
