Widener, Lynnewood Hall, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania; inheritance from estate of Peter A. B. Widener by gift through power of appointment of Joseph E. Widener, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania; gift 1942 to NGA.
[1] The provenance given here prior to the Widener ownership is the provenance for the lantern (NGA 1942.9.590) for which the stand was made. The lantern was provided with the silver stand between 1900 and 1911. The dates of ownership by Bennett and Gorer are not certain.
