The image is an etching of boats on a body of water. The horizon is high in the composition, with boats and tall masts reaching towards the top. The boats have their bows visible. The technique uses delicate lines for shading and texture on the docks and boats. The color palette is monochrome, with brown and beige tones. Reflections of the boats are seen on the water.
