The image shows a stoneware jug with a rounded body and a narrow neck. The jug is decorated with a hand-painted blue illustration of a running horse. The color palette consists of neutral tones for the jug and vibrant blue for the horse design. The detailed design of the horse wraps around the midsection of the jug. In the top right corner, there is a smaller overlay of the jug showing the handle on the back.
