This is a photograph of a riverside setting with steps covered in fallen leaves. The scene captures a stone staircase leading down towards a quay or riverside promenade. Leaves are scattered across the steps and pavement. To the right, there is a tall black railing. In the background, across the water, stands a stone wall and buildings, and some trees are visible above. The composition of the photograph uses the lines of the steps and railing to draw the eye into the distance.
