The image shows a view from above of desert-like terrain. Closest to the viewer are textured hills with sparse vegetation and dry channels or ridges. Beyond the hills is a flat plain with occasional small trees. In the distance, the land fades into a lighter area, possibly a plateau or valley. The image is in black and white, emphasizing light and shadow to depict the rugged terrain.
