The sculpture is a circular medallion with a relief of a man's head in profile facing left. The man has curly hair adorned with a wreath or a laurel. The medallion is reddish-brown and may be made of terracotta or a similar material. There is an inscription starting with "IOANNES" around the edge. Four small star symbols are next to the man's head within a decorative inner border. The sculpture is a bas-relief with ornamental beading around the edge.
