Associated Names
John Clerk, of Eldin

Artist, Scottish, 1728 - 1812

The image shows a landscape scene with two large trees framing the view. A bridge crosses a calm body of water in a town, with buildings and trees in the distance. Hills roll upward towards a sky. There are two small figures standing to the right. The scene uses a monochromatic color palette with black, grey, and white, typical of an etching technique with fine lines and cross-hatching for texture and depth.
