Astronaut Michael Collins, command module / pilot, remained with the Command and Service Modules in / lunar orbit while Astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, commander; / and Edwin E. Aldrin Jr., lunar module pilot, descended in / the LM to the lunar surface.
