This artwork is a painting of a tortoise-shaped inkwell with its lid partially open. The top half shows a detailed, realistic depiction of a tortoise, while the bottom half reveals the inkwell hidden inside the tortoise shell. The lower part is rendered in monochromatic tones, resembling a design sketch or blueprint.
