The image is a portrait of an elderly person in profile, facing left. The person is either seated or standing in a relaxed position with their right hand resting on a cane or stick. They have a deeply lined face with distinct wrinkles around their eyes and mouth. Their hair is combed back and partially covered by a tall, wide-brimmed hat. They are wearing a dark-colored coat with a high collar. The background is plain.
