The sculpture depicts a mermaid with a human upper body and a detailed fish tail. She has a stern or contemplative facial expression, with leaf-like details in her hair. The sculpture is made of a beige or light brown material, possibly stone. The mermaid appears to have a mythical and sculptural presence, standing independently. The tail ends with an ornate flourish.
