The image displays a seascape with a direct point of view looking out over the water. The ocean extends towards the horizon, with the horizon placed just above the midpoint of the image. On the horizon, there is a seamless blend of sea and sky, with no distinguishable objects. The water is calm with gentle ripples, and the sky is filled with thick, layered clouds allowing sunlight to filter through. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of grey. The photograph is bordered by a dark green matting.
