This is a painting of a wooden sculpture portraying a scene of justice. The sculpture features a wooden platform with two poles supporting a board where two figures with ropes around their necks are in stocks. The background figures are dressed in striped pants, with their arms and heads protruding from the stocks. A ladder leans against the structure, and two smaller figures stand at the base of the platform, wearing dark clothing and hats, one of whom holds a whip or rope. The base of the sculpture is inscribed with the words "Delaware Justice."
