The image shows a village among hills. A line of trees decorates the horizon behind the village. A brick building stands out in the center, possibly a school or a municipal building. Closest to the viewer are wooden houses with pitched roofs and a few smaller outbuildings. The colors are sepia, creating a warm atmosphere. The composition leads the eye from the houses to the wider view of the village and hills, ending at the horizon with trees in silhouette.
