The image is an etching showing a scene from a ground-level point of view. The horizon is subtly placed beyond the trees on the left side of the image. In the center, a stone structure with a large arched doorway extends vertically, dominating the scene to the right. The technique uses fine and precise linework to capture the details of the architecture and surrounding trees. The path leading to the structure is lined with trees that cast thin shadows on the ground. Two figures walk along this path, one closer to us and the other further away. The overall color palette is monochrome, with varying shades of black and beige providing depth and texture to the image.
