This is a drawing of a group gathered around a central figure in a stone structure. The composition captures an intense and dramatic scene, set within a cave-like environment made of stone blocks. The central figure is lying across a stone surface or table and is surrounded by several figures draped in flowing robes, each appearing deeply engaged in the scene's events. The atmosphere is one of reverence and emotion, emphasized by the detailed expressions and gestures of the surrounding figures. Light enters the scene through a small, square opening in the stone structure. A large urn is positioned on the ground to the right side of the composition. The detailed rendering of textures, from the stone walls to the folds of fabric, enhances the dramatic and historical tone of the composition.
