Artist, Italian, 1851 - 1920

The image shows a landscape with a narrow river or stream, lined with bare trees in the middle ground. The trees are intricately depicted with fine lines, as is the texture of the ground. The scene is rendered in a monochromatic color scheme with varying shades of brown. Vegetation borders the river on one side, while lighter vegetation is on the other side. There are reflections on the water's surface under a speckled sky.
