Laura Adams Armer

Artist, American, 1874 - 1963

We look sharply down at the ruins of stone walls and structures tucked under an overhanging rock close to us, as the land drops vertiginously away in this vertical black and white photograph. Some of the walls are straight and some curved to follow the contours of what appears to be a cliff face. A few scrubby branches grow from the rock at the top center of this composition. We look almost straight down onto a tree-filled canyon to our left.
