A leafless branch growing up a wooden post is heavy with pale apples in this horizontal black and white photograph. The ground in the orchard is white with snow. Rows of wire trellises strung between more wooden posts line a lane to our left. The posts and tree branches create a spiky horizon just over halfway up the composition.
