This is a photograph of a shoe workshop or factory interior. The image captures a room filled with various objects and machinery associated with shoemaking. In the center, there is a tall wooden rack holding many pairs of shoes in various stages of completion, which appear to be labeled with tags. To the right, there are several large, industrial machines likely used in the shoe production process, arranged in a row. The room has a wooden floor and a high, patterned ceiling from which multiple dome-shaped light fixtures hang, casting light onto the workshop below. There are two large windows on the left, through which natural light enters, and shelves filled with shoeboxes line the wall on the opposite side. A calendar with the year and 'Central Baltimore' is visible to the left.
