The image shows a low vantage point of a tranquil scene by a shallow water crossing. An earthen path with wheel and foot marks leads to the water, where a horse-drawn carriage is stopping. A horse drinks from the water, its reflection visible. In the background, a dirt road curves to the right, bordered by a stone wall and wooden fence. Leafless trees with intricate branches line the road, leading to a large structure, possibly a castle, faintly visible in the mist. The horizon is marked by distant trees blending into the gray sky. The color palette is earthy and subdued.
