Associated Names
A long, curved saber with a detailed hilt is on the left side of the image. The saber's metal has a muted silver hue with subtle tinges of purple and gold on the blade and guard. The background is a soft, beige color. Text is inscribed below the saber in light gray pencil. The text reads: "COL. JAMES A. MULLIGAN SABER," followed by "ON THE HILT IS ENGRAVED - LEXINGTON, MO. 1861. WINCHESTER, VA. 1864," and "LAY ME DOWN AND SAVE THE FLAG." These inscriptions are positioned mainly in the lower right quadrant, directly beneath the saber.
