This print shows a lavishly decorated room with ornate furnishings. In the center is a large canopy with heavy, patterned curtains. Under it, a woman sits on what appears to be a cushioned chair. She wears a gown with a low neckline and a cloth covering wrapped over her head. To the left, two people in cloaks and hats stand in front of an open doorway, carrying a swaddled infant. One of the woman's hands grasps the cloth around the infant. Her head, however, is turned to the right, looking at a person who sits in a chair, their back to us. This person wears a long jacket and has tightly curled hair, and they have their left arm outstretched to hold the woman's other hand. Another person, perhaps a child, also stands in front of the woman, looking up at her. This person has their back to us as well, and they wear a long, flowing gown, and have their hair in an updo. On the right is a tall open window, and near the bottom left is a stack of pillows and blankets. The walls appear to be painted with intricate designs. Below the print is a border of off-white paper, featuring a crest at the bottom with a crown and shield.
