This print depicts an opulent interior. The room is richly decorated, with fluted columns, ornate molding under the painted ceiling, and large arched windows. The ceiling features intricate plasterwork and a fresco with cherubs, while a crystal chandelier hangs on the right. Luxurious walls and cushioned furniture with detailed woodwork and embellishments fill the space. Several people are in the room, engaged in different activities. The people all have light skin and curled white or gray hair, and they wear rich, formal clothing such as dresses and suits. Near the bottom left, a woman reads a book by one of the large windows. To the right, a man and a woman sit across a table from one another, and a man stands behind them, looking down at the table. Farther to the right, a man stands over a woman sitting in a chair by a partially visible mantle. In the far right, a group of two men and three women sit and stand around a large table, conversing. On the wooden floor in the center of the print, two small dogs wrestle. Below the print, there is a line of text and a large, ornate shield.
