The image shows a house by a small body of water, situated on a grassy slope. The horizon is low, running behind the house. A tree on the right side of the scene adds depth and frames the view. The artist uses fine lines to create texture in the foliage and water. The color palette is monochromatic, consisting of various shades of black and grey on a cream background.
