Artist, German, c. 1450 - 1491

This is a detailed drawing of an ornate staff or crozier. The top part of the staff features a circular frame with a seated figure holding a smaller figure in their lap within an elaborate archway. The frame is decorated with swirling, ornamental patterns. The handle of the staff has delicate vertical lines and is crowned with a complex structure with carved figures. The drawing demonstrates the artist's skill in detailed, linear drawing typical of the Gothic art style.
