This is a drawing of a procession set against an intricately detailed gate and hedge. The image features numerous figures marching in a single file line across the foreground. They are beneath an ornate wrought-iron gate flanked by two imposing stone columns crowned with eagle sculptures. The attention to detail in the gate and surrounding foliage suggests a sense of order and decorum.
