Artist, Flemish, 1658 - 1719

The image shows a pastoral landscape scene with figures and animals close to us. The horizon is positioned about a quarter of the way from the top of the composition, revealing a wide sky filled with clouds. To the right, an architectural structure with a sculpted figure or statue near a tree is visible. The fine and intricate etching lines convey detail and texture, particularly in the trees and sky. The color palette is monochromatic, with earthy browns and grays dominating the scene. To the left, the landscape extends with trees and a body of water, adding depth to the composition.
