The image shows a coastal landscape from an elevated perspective. The horizon is high, with mountains reaching towards it. In the center-left, there is a town with towers and spires near the shore. The artwork uses fine, intricate etching-style brushstrokes to depict clouds, mountains, and the sea. The color scheme is monochrome, with black and white tones. Several figures are near us, with three seated in conversation and a lone traveler with a walking stick observing. In the distance, more figures are seen on a path or heading towards the town. The sky has expressive clouds, and vessels are visible in the calm waters near the town.
