The image depicts sailing ships on the sea from a distance. The horizon is set high in the frame with ships on and below it. Two large ships with billowing sails are prominent, set against a lighter background. Bold, expressive brushstrokes convey movement in the waves and clouds. The color palette is muted with olive green shades, dark lines, and lighter patches depicting the sky and sea. Stylized clouds with radiating lines add dynamism. To the left, a low-lying coastline with small structures is visible, suggesting proximity to shore.
