The image is an engraving of a man's bust. The man is facing slightly to his left but looking directly at the viewer, with a composed expression. His facial features are detailed, including a strong nose, prominent brow, neatly trimmed mustache and beard, and short, curly hair. He is dressed in a buttoned doublet with a high, pleated ruff collar. An oval frame surrounds him with an inscription "ANDREAS ATHEMSTET" and a laurel wreath pattern. Latin text surrounds the frame, and the background is textured with a cross-hatch pattern.
