The man is seated on a horse in a rearing position. He is visible from head to waist, with a voluminous ruffed collar around his neck and long, wavy hair. He wears ornate armor and holds the reins of the horse, which is also adorned with decorative elements. The background shows a cityscape and a hillside. Two ornate crests are in the upper corners of the image.
