The image shows a portrait of a man depicted from the chest up. The man is positioned facing forward, with his gaze directed slightly to the viewer's right. He has a neatly trimmed beard and mustache, and his hair is combed back from his forehead, resting just above his ears. He wears a richly detailed collared garment with a high ruffed collar around his neck. Draped over his shoulders is a cloak. The portrait is set within an oval frame against a textured backdrop. Below the portrait is a block of text in Latin.
