The image shows a man from the waist up, seated upright at a table. He has a long, pointed beard and mustache, thinning hair covered by a small cap, and a composed expression. He is looking directly out of the image. His attire includes a dark coat with a white collar. One hand rests on an open book, and the other hand holds an hourglass on the table. The room is elegantly furnished with a curtain in the background. The table also holds an inkwell with a pen and is covered with a cloth. A decorative chair is visible behind him, and there is a frame on the wall. Below the man, there is text which may provide information.
