This is a painting of an illuminated manuscript page with musical notation. The page features text in Latin with musical notation in black ink on red-ruled staves. The text includes decorative initials in red, and a large ornate initial "L" in the lower portion of the page with a detailed miniature of a figure in a green robe within a gilded background with floral designs. The left margin is adorned with vine-like decorations with foliage and circular motifs.
