The image is a portrait of a man with a receding hairline and short hair. He is holding a rolled document with his hands in front of him. The man has a broad forehead, pronounced brows, a neatly trimmed beard, and a mustache. He is dressed in an outfit with detailed embroidery, a lace ruff around his neck, and lace cuffs on his sleeves. An inkwell with a quill sits on a table to the right. The border of the oval portrait features heraldic elements, including a dragon rampant on a helmet in the left corner and two crowned lions' heads in a shield on the right. The background of the portrait is intricately engraved.
