His hair appears to be short and curly underneath a round, flat cap. He is wearing a long, dark robe with a thick, fur collar, and a light fabric wrapped around his neck. There is no jewelry visible. The background is a plain, textured surface, and the bottom of the image has text that reads "DESIDERIUS ERASMUS ROTTERODAMUS".
