Artist, English, 1616 - 1691

The image is an engraved portrait of a man facing forward, showing his head and upper torso. He has long hair falling to his shoulders, a clean-shaven face with a pointed nose, and a slightly furrowed brow. He wears a wide collar over a dark garment that appears to be a cloak or mantle. The background includes an oval frame with a fine line pattern and a detailed border surrounding it. An inscription under the image identifies the portrait as "Ioannis Miltoni Effigies Ætat: 62" from the year 1670.
