The image features an engraving with a bust of a man's upper body on a column in the center, flanked by two obelisks. The bust depicts a stern-looking man with aged features, wavy hair, and a laurel wreath on his head. He is draped in a robe, and above him, an angelic figure with wings holds wreaths inscribed with the word "Immortality." At the base of the obelisks, skeletons are reclined, resting upon labeled pedestals with names such as Homer, Ovid, Ennius, Chaucer on the left, and Pindar, Horace, Virgil, Cowley on the right. The background has cloud patterns and the ground has small vegetation, creating a somber yet majestic atmosphere.
