This is an engraving of the upper half of a male figure, positioned centrally. The man is slightly turned to the side, facing the viewer with a composed expression. His features include a high forehead, a large nose, and a mustache with a neatly trimmed goatee or beard. He wears a ruffled or lace collar that frames his face and elaborate clothing with intricate patterns and embellishments. A decorative armor piece is visible on his shoulder, and he wears a chain with a medallion or emblem across his chest. The man has short hair covered by a cap or small hat. Surrounding him is an oval frame with classical motifs and heraldic symbols or crests on either side. The background is recessed within the oval, focusing on the frame and portrait. Below the portrait, there is an ornamented plaque inscribed with the name "William Camden Clarenceux" and details of his lifespan.
