The image shows a cobblestone square with a high wall on the left. An old sunlit building with a slanted roof is partly visible. A statue of a human figure with a trident is on a platform at the right. Figures are near a glowing light source, creating plumes of smoke or dust. The brushstrokes are loose and suggestive, with an impressionistic touch. The color palette is subdued with earthy browns and soft blues. In the distance, the sky fades into a pale, cloudy expanse, casting a blue tone over the scene.
