The image is a wide landscape scene captured in a black and white, drawn style. The horizon line is placed high with the tops of trees and rooflines of various buildings. The group of structures is separated from the sky above which is dotted with clouds. Closest to us, a group of people is seen conversing along a path by a water body, where a man is seen handling a small boat. Beyond them are trees, buildings, and what appears to be a church or grand house with a spire at the center. The image is highly detailed, with lines and cross-hatching creating texture and depth in grays and browns rendered in ink. The left side is dominated by a large tree extending its branches overhead.
