Artist, German, active 1450/1470

This is a painting of a religious scene in a medieval style. The image depicts a seated, haloed figure holding a staff with a floral motif in one hand and raising the other, which bears a mark. This figure is dressed in flowing robes and is positioned centrally and above the ground. Below, two figures are kneeling with their hands clasped. Between these kneeling figures, two smaller figures emerge from the ground, similarly positioned with clasped hands. The scene is set against a simple background, suggesting a heavenly or spiritual realm. This is in the style of an anonymous medieval artist, characteristic of religious iconography from that period.
