The image depicts a harbor scene viewed from a gentle slope. The horizon is low in the composition, with land meeting water. Small boats can be seen on the water. Sailboats are closest to us, with detailed line work. Larger boats to the left lead the eye towards the middle where smaller boats are moored and buildings of a town are visible. The color palette includes sepia tones and contrasts of light and shadow. Details of a port town in the distance fade into the sky.
