Artist, Scottish, 1876 - 1953

The image is an etching depicting a cityscape seen through a row of trees. The viewpoint is slightly elevated, showing a clear view of the city. The horizon line is low, with a dome-shaped building in the center. Two figures are near us, under large trees with intricate leaves. The trees' trunks and branches are detailed with swirling strokes. The color scheme is monochromatic, mainly sepia. The etching technique is evident in the controlled lines and cross-hatching strokes defining the scene.
